Sleeping Charlie memory bear sewing pattern:
This is a downloadable PDF sewing pattern to make a sleeping teddy bear with wings. It is perfect for sewing memory bears from clothing. This pattern uses my original best selling Charlie bear sewing pattern, and adds to it the idea of an angel or cherub who is sleeping.
Sleeping Charlie Bear size Your completed bear will be 44cm (17 1/2″) long from toe to top of head, and 17cm (6 1/2″) tall from ground to side of head
This download includes 9 pages of written description, and 12 pages of pattern pieces. The pattern is ONLY suitable for advanced sewists, ie those who have sewn memory bears before. This is because it is a complex pattern with non symmetrical pieces, and it requires a lot of ladder stitching too.

Notions for your Sleeping Charlie memory bear sewing pattern:
Fabric: If you are using this pattern to make a fur or fabric teddy bear you will need 1 meter of fabric
Or, if you are using this pattern to make a baby clothes keepsake you will need 12-14 baby grows or an equivalent amount of clothing. For an adult clothes keepsake you will need 2 medium short sleeve t-shirts or an equivalent amount of clothing.
Wool felt: 3 square inches to make the nose
Embroidery floss: 60” to sew the eyes and smile
15cm pipe cleaners x 6
Light weight iron on wadding 22cm x 50 cm– or light weight quilt batting and spray glue
Toy stuffing: 500g or 1lb (approx)
A plastic chopstick, or something similar that is long with a blunt end, to insert the stuffing
Plus: pins, cotton thread that matches your fabric, hand sewing needles, scissors. If you have pinking shears this will make snipping the curves easier
